Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE)
The Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) certification is designed and developed to instill pertinent concepts and knowledge in BCM practitioners which will enable them to drive organizational-wide BCM programs or Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS), develop business continuity and recovery strategies, develop and implement comprehensive BC plans and BCM awareness and training programs, conduct exercises and tests and implement BCM audit and assessment programs to ensure BC plan effectiveness. This certification is most suited for Organisation BCM Coordinator, BCM managers, planners and project managers and BU BCM Coordinator.
The pre-requisites are:
- BCM-400: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Manager or
- BCM-5000: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Expert Implementer course. Participants of the course are required to pass the Qualifying BCCE examination before proceeding to apply for the certification.
To apply for your BCCE credential, you should have at least three years of Business Continuity Management (BCM) professional experience and can describe your implementation and role in at least 5 of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK).
How to be Certified
To become a BCCE-certified professional, a candidate must successfully complete four separate processes:
- Formal Education (completion of either the BCM-400: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Manager or BCM-5000: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Expert Implementer course)
- Examination (pass the Qualifying BCCE examination)
- Show proof of 3-years of verifiable BC experience
- Make a payment of SGD150 (non-refundable) application processing fee.
Formal Education
To attend the BCM-400: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Manager course (duration 2.5 days including half-day examination) or BCM-5000: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Expert Implementer course (duration 4.5 days including half-day examination), a candidate must:
- Sign up for the course
- Pay the Course Fee
- Be assigned login credentials for the online final examination
- Sit for the examination at the end of the course
Examination
To sit for the Examination, a candidate must:
- Be equipped and competent in Competency Level CL 1B: Foundation (BC), CL 2B: Intermediate (BC) and CL 3B: Advanced (BC) including the 7 BCM Body of Knowledge (BCMBoK)
- Have attempted the online practice quiz at least once
Certification
To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:
- Pass the BCCE qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 150- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Submit the Application Processing Fee
- Submit the Certification Application Form to certification@bcm-institute.org
- Describe 5 or more domains of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)
- Select two references for each BoK* (these references may be repeated for all five domains)
