Course Description
DRP-5000 IT DRP Expert Implementer Blended-Hybrid Learning Course (BL-HL-DR-5)
This holistic IT Disaster Recovery (IT DRP) course is primarily designed for BC and DR professionals to understand DR fundamentals and conduct a risk assessment, impact analysis, technical considerations for DR planning and strategy. It also allows one to understand how to establish and present a DRP Plan, develop a DRP team structure, and manage communications during a disaster.
This course is equivalent to the international certification module, DRP5000- IT DRP Expert Implementer course. Its combination of assignments and facilitated online workshops and facilitator discussions would allow you to obtain the Disaster Recovery Certified Planner certificate, which is upgradeable to the Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist or Expert certificate, depending on your experience.
It is expected to be completed within eight weeks for the blended learning approach and five weeks for the hybrid approach.
MODULES
Module 1 & 4 – Facilitated Online Workshop
ITDR Fundamentals E-learning package.
The participant is expected to complete Module 1 within two weeks after registering before pursuing Module 2.

Module 2 would then allow participants to gain an intermediate competency in implementing an IT DRP plan. In this module, one would learn to conduct a risk assessment, impact analysis, technical considerations for DR planning and strategy. There would be pre-readings for each stage, followed by a two (2) 3-hour facilitated online workshop and facilitated discussion per stage of the competency taught.

Module 3 allows participants to have pre-reading on participants to have pre-reading on presenting a DR proposal to senior management, establishing a DR plan and team structure. It would then be followed up with a two (2) 3-hour facilitated training and discussion with your facilitator.

While Module 4 allows participants to have pre-reading on linking up to business units, assembling DR Plans and implement and manage DR Plans. It would then be followed up by two (2) 3-hour facilitated online training.

Module 3 & 4 – Hybrid Learning (Onsite)
Starting in 2023, this course will be offered onsite for Module 3 and Module 4 in a designated capital in Asia. The content is similar, except the course is run over two days (click here to find out more)

- All Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) are eligible for SkillsFuture funding (Non-WSQ).
- The funding is applicable for both individual and corporate-sponsored.
- Singaporean and Singapore PR can enjoy SSG Funding via the Disaster Recovery Certified Planner (DRCP) certification programme.
- Singaporean PRs and Singaporeans above 40 years old get funded up to 70% off the total course fee.
- Singaporean PRs and Singaporeans 39 years and below get funded up to 50% off the total course fee.

- HRD Corp is claimable for Malaysians.

Certification
Disaster Recovery Certified Planner (DRCP) Certification is awarded to all who complete all 4 modules of the DRP-5000 Blended Learning course.
Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) Certification is awarded to participants who successfully completed all Blended Learning sessions and passes the live assessments and pass the Qualifying DRCE examination (for Singaporean and Singapore PR participants) or the end of module assessment, sends in an application detailing at least 3 years of DR/BC experience, and satisfies and meets the experience requirements of the independent certification body.

- Have a thorough understanding of the DR Planning Methodology.
- Conduct an application impact analysis for an organization.
- Develop and implement business and IT recovery strategies.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for strategies and alternate site selection with consideration to cloud and cybersecurity.
- Consolidate and implement a comprehensive IT DR plan.
- Create and develop IT DR awareness and training program.
- Conduct exercises and tests.
- Integrate business continuity with the IT DR initiatives.
- Sustain an effective organisation-wide IT DR program.
